Ergobaby Drool Pads (& Why You Need Them for Your Ergobaby!)

Ergobaby sells several accessories for use with their baby carriers. Out of them all, there is ONE that I highly recommend you get for your Ergobaby carrier that both you and your baby will benefit from – Ergobaby drool pads (AKA “teething pads”). For me this was the #1 babywearing accessory that made my life so much easier!

Why Ergobaby drool pads?

Ergobaby drool pads (teething pads) were designed for teething and drooling babies to give them something safe to chew on while protecting the carrier’s shoulder straps. Turns out, babies LOVE to chew on Ergobaby straps!

Your teething baby will go crazy for them, and you will love ’em, too, because with giving your baby something other than Ergobaby straps to chew on, you’re now greatly extending the life of your baby carrier (all while cutting back on having to wash the entirety of the baby carrier unnecessarily often…).

And that’s not even all.

Teething aside, the pads are thick and soft and provide nice cushioning for your baby’s head (both asleep and awake).

Truth be told… I kept using the teething pads waaaay past the teething stage with both of my kids because they just loved resting their heads on them so much. (Also I kept forgetting to take the pads off. But, truly, there was no reason to.)

Ergobaby drool pads… still on… LOL

Ergobaby drool pads features:

  • thick and sturdy yet soft
  • easy to put on/take off
  • durable, heavy-duty snaps
  • made with 100% cotton
  • (organic cotton option available)
  • can be used with any Ergobaby carrier

Using the Ergobaby teething/drool pads is super easy – simply snap the pads around the carrier’s shoulder straps and start babywearing!

The drool pads are well made and will last years down the road even if you wash them regularly (which you probably will – I’m actually surprised they held up so well!). They’re soft and will get even softer with each wash. The snaps are durable and hidden underneath the straps, out of baby’s reach.

Despite their light color, they don’t stain easily at all. How the pads still look brand new after two kids and years of babywearing is a total mystery to me.… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

PS: Ergobaby drool pads are not to be confused with the Ergobaby teething bib which is on the bulky side and doesn’t work well across all Ergobaby carrier types and all carry positions.
